Safeguarding and Child Protection

The latest child protection policies and procedures can be found in the policy file of our website as recommended by the Birmingham Children's Safeguarding Board. If anyone has a concern, please inform either the headteacher or another senior member of staff. The Designated Senior Lead person for child protection are Mrs Johnson, Miss Keating, Mr Spindlow, Miss Foote, Mrs Tennant and Mrs Milligan.

Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for free school meals (FSM) in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months.

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals and their wealthier peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most. Click on the links below to see how we have spent our Pupil Premium.

Sports Premium at Guardian Angels Catholic Primary School

In April 2013, the Government announced new funding of £150 million for physical education (PE) and sport. This funding should be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision.

Funding will be allocated to all maintained and state-funded schools with primary phase pupils, including: primary, middle, special and non-maintained special schools, academies and pupil referral units from 1 September 2013.

Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.

The Government requires that all schools publish information relating to the Sports Premium Funding of the school website.
